The Museum of the Future will be primarily an exhibition space situated next to the existing Emirates Towers which will showcase innovative and futuristic concepts. It also has a leasable space for labs, FandB outlets and auditoriums. The building consists of 10 main levels and a museum which will be connected by an elevated walkway to the Metro station, as well as a bridge linking to the Emirates Towers. There are 3 Podium levels, which include 202 car parking bays and 19,200m2 of BUA above ground level. It is surrounded by a sloping landscape, with 7 Building levels (11300m2 BUA) for a total of 61m height above the Podium. Two bridges of 212m and 69m connect the development with the iconic Emirates Towers and the Jet Metro Station.
Targeting an LEED Platinum rating, the museum will be the 1st Zero Energy Museum in the UAE.
The cooling load will be 2,400TR, fed from a district cooling network, provided by Empower
The electrical supply shall be from an off-site solar farm located at Zabeel Race Track (not in scope). Total connected electrical load for the building will be 8MW (approx.). The substation and LV rooms are located in Podium 1, where the MDB’s are housed, from where the power is fed to the various electrical rooms located on the respective floors.
Trans Gulf was awarded the complete MEP works and is executing the below mentioned scope.
