ABOUT THE BUILD
The Media One Tower is a 43-storey mixed-use tower. The 175m skyscraper offers views of the Arabian Gulf, Emirates Golf Course and Dubai Marina. The hotel occupies the lower levels of the building, with the offices on the upper levels. The local amenities and hotel lobby provide a large array of retail and dining options.
Trans Gulf Electromechanical LLC provided the complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for the tower, including the following:
HVAC
- Chilled water pumps
- Air handling units (AHU's/FAHU's) and fan coil units
- Kitchen ecology unit/kitchen supply fan
- DX – units and plate heat exchanger
- Extractor/pressurisation fans/make up air fans
Electrical and ELV Systems
- LV panels
- UPS system and generator
- Fire alarm system and voice evacuation system
- Public address/background music system
- CCTV system and room management system
- Access control system
- Gate barrier system and AV system
- IP telephone system and structured cabling system
- Earthing and lightning protection system
Plumbing
- Drainage (waste and soil) system
- Rainwater system
- Domestic water transfer and booster pump set
- Water filtration/softener
- Hot water storage (calorifiers)
- Fire pump set
- Firefighting and sprinkler protection system
The total cooling load of the building is 1600 TR, and the total electrical load is 6825kW.
