ABOUT THE BUILD

The main tasks for the Improvement of Parallel Roads project were to set up road signals and street lighting for new roads including tunnels and pump stations.

The scope of work included the design, supply, installation and testing and commissioning of the following:

• Four GRP kiosks to fit out with distribution boards and lighting control equipment
• Three pumping stations to fit out with switch and control gear
• Two fire-fighting pumping stations and associated earthing systems
• 22 feeder pillars for street lighting
• 60,000m cabling for street lighting
• 887 poles for street lighting
• MEP services for three tunnels
• Traffic signals for 15 junctions
• 132kV cabling and additional works at the new 400kV substation for Dubai Electricity and Water Authority
