ABOUT THE BUILD
Fujairah City Centre is a key shopping destination operated by Majid Al Futtaim that opened in 2012 with over a hundred stores and covering 34,000 square meters of retail space. It is a major shopping destination in the Emirate of Fujairah.
Trans Gulf Electromechanical was awarded the complete project and have supplied the following:

- Chillers, cooling towers and chilled water pumps
- Air handling unit (AHU/FAHU) and fan coil units

- LV panels and control panel for HVAC equipment.

The mains power supply is fed from the FEWA network to 11 transformers located within the site. The main two LV rooms consists of 11x2500 KVA panels, the output of which is then reticulated through the mall using over 12km of cables.
The cooling requirement of 4,200 TR for the building is met using four water-cooled, variable-speed, centrifugal chillers.
The project is an LEED gold-rated building and has incorporated the latest practices in construction and energy management using a sophisticated Building Management System including air quality management, energy saving lights, energy recovery, rain water harvesting, water-saving sanitary fixtures and the use of grey water for irrigation.
