Dubai World Trade Centre New Exhibition Halls

duration (months)

Dubai World Trade Centre’s (DWTC) Sheikh Rashid halls are located between the Dubai Metro station and the existing exhibition halls on a site that was previously used as a car park. The structure covers a built-up area of around 40,000m2, with internal dimensions of 325mx96m. The average height of the building is 15m and the internal space can be partitioned to provide a series of smaller halls as required for individual events. The MEP systems have also been installed in a manner that ensures this flexibility of use.

The DWTC exhibition hall was a fast-track project with an immovable deadline. Trans Gulf began work on 1 April 2009, and installation and commissioning of the MEP systems was completed on time within a scheduled six-month timeframe. The project had an effective construction period of 90 days.
