ABOUT THE BUILD

The Al Tayer Tower is a 59-storey residential tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. The tower offers unprecedented facilities with 244 apartments of various sizes, fast lifts, state-of-the-art security and safety systems and high-grade acoustic treatment. The tower also features an 11-storey secure parking lot, landscaped gardens and designer fittings. Its location is in close proximity to Downtown Dubai (the district that includes the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall) and Business Bay.

Trans Gulf Electromechanical LLC was awarded the complete project and hasve executed the following:

HVAC

• Chillers and chilled water pumps
• Air handling unit (AHU/FAHU) and fan coil units
• Building management system (BMS)

Electrical and ELV Systems

• LV panels and control panel for HVAC equipment
• Fire alarm system
• CCTV system
• Security and access control system
• Lighting control system
• Aircraft warning light
• Earthing and lightning protection system
• Generator
• Telephones and structured cables

Plumbing

• Drainage (waste and soil) system
• Rainwater system
• Hot and cold water supply system
• Swimming pool equipment
• Firefighting and sprinkler protection system.

The total cooling load of the building is 1548 TR and the total electrical load is 10,655kW.

The Trans Gulf (TG) on-site team liaised closely with internal departments and the company’s off-site teams from Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Quality Control, Accounts and Central Stores. This teamwork, guided by the management vision and strategy in coordination with the main contractor, meant that TG was successful in completing the project within the specified time frame.
